Homemade Granola Recipe

Prep Time 10 minutes
Cook Time 30 minutes
Servings: 6 people

Ingredients

  • 4 cup Old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 cup Nuts of your choice
  • ½ cup Honey or maple syrup
  • ½ cup Coconut oil or vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon Rock salt
  • 1 teaspoon Pure vanilla extract
  • ½ cup Dried cranberries (optional)

Method

1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
    2. Mix the dry ingredients – In a large bowl, combine the rolled oats, sea salt, nuts (like sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, and cashews), and any other dry add-ins you're using.
      3. Add the wet ingredients – Pour in the maple syrup or honey. Stir everything together until the oats and nuts are evenly coated.
        4. Spread onto the baking sheet – Use a spatula or spoon to spread the mixture in an even layer. Press it down slightly for chunkier granola.
          5. Bake for 25–30 minutes, stirring halfway through to ensure even toasting. Keep an eye on it in the final minutes—it should be golden and fragrant, not burnt!
            6. Cool completely – Once baked, let the granola cool on the baking sheet. It will continue to crisp up as it cools.
              7. Add the cranberries (or any dried fruit) once the granola has cooled completely. Stir to combine.
